Load & upgrade

OK, this is my setup:

I have pre-placed an immobile unit in a City A. City B has a barrack.
I have pre-placed a troop truck in City A.

Will AI load the unit into my truck and move it to City B for its upgrade?

FYI - I can do this in the game without no problem! But can AI?

No. The AI has difficulties using land transports (though other people have reported they have figured ways to do it). They also won't specifically move a unit to go get upgraded from what I understand.
