Is it possible to load a tutorial game you saved, in tutorial mode, so that you can continue with the tutorial?

When I start Civ 4 in tutorial mode, all it lets me do is start a new tutorial. When I start it in normal mode and load my saved tutorial game, it plays it in normal mode (which causes me to win automatically, I think because the tutorial hadn't created any other civilizations when I saved and quit).

I'd really like to continue the tutorial where I left off, as I wasn't finished learning yet. Can someone tell me how to do this please?

I was wondering this too. I like the 'Sid in a Box' aspect of the tutorial, although as jaked has said, loading a saved tutorial game seemingly reverts it to a 'non-Sid, non-tutorial' game. So, what's the answer here folks?

*hurries off to do a forum search to save later embarassment*

As far as I can tell it isn't possible. I've had the same problem. I can reload the game but not with the tutorial active. Even tried going into the Tutorial and reloading the previously saved Tutorial game and once again it became a non-tutorial game.

That's a shame. I got it today and my play-time with it has been fragmented, so this problem is a bit annoying. Still, not the end of the world.

Just out of interest, how much more is there after you build the Quarry improvement by your second city, and then connect it with roads to Rome?

Kind of page 3 of 1000, then you move on to - sort of - Volume 2 of 100 (!), it has huge depth and breadth. Dont be put off, its that kind of depth and breadth that gives the game its fascination. Stay in tutorial mode for as long as you want

Perservere, the tutorial aims to teach you basic principles, much you will have to resolve/teach yourself

But, by then you will be "into" it and know where to look - what the right questions are - or who to chat to and on what forum on this site - or ...... etc

Good to know... how about the original question? Do you know any way of continuing the tutorial where you left off?

Sorry I dont know, I never stayed that long in tutorial mode (too eager to get on with it lol). I suspect similar reason is why you are not getting a reply from others.

Happy World Domination :)

I asked about this on my 'local' forums (PC gamer UK) and just got this reply:

Neurotic,

Not a problem i've come across but in a chat with Firaxis on Xfire last night they announced they were testing another patch that addresses a number of issues with stability, performance and *TADA* the tutorial.
