Longest session of straight Civ3 playing

all you guys with wives/husbands and girlfriends/boyfriends who don't understand the "addiction" you can all tell them what I do. I just tell her "Hey it could be worse, at least I'm not out everynight drinking and looking for women...

You could say that if you do not get the appropriate time on Civ3 that you will suffer the symptons of something you call "Civ3 Syndrome"

The symptons, you will continue, are: Dry mouth, horrible nightmares, continuous rants, mumbles, and the sudden wanting to...and you stop there because of your wife's horrified expression.

Oh, civ3...

Well, that'd be only six hours or so. But back in the days, when civ2 was getting around, I played for 20 hours straight once. I had lotsa more time than I have now, I guess...

I have played the game straight thru on a standard size map. Took about 20 hours. I did get up to use the bathroom.

To be honest, I find Civ3 addictive, but not as addictive as Civ2. My record for Civ2 was something like 10 hours. I don't think I've broken 5 hours with Civ3.
