Does anybody know any good cpu games that use logistics? Used to be fun making sure my ships had enough oil in PTO, or troops had enough food/gunpowder to last the battle Liberty or Death, Rice in the Orient....
I can't think of any logistics games as such, but Railroad Tycoon involves some logistical work. Getting the right goods to the towns that demand those particular goods involves some logistical work (not a lot, I know, but some nevertheless).
Well, the KOEI Romance of the Three Kingdom games are sort of logistical as well, weakly. You need to come out with the gold and food to support your troops; also moving these resources and officers and their attached troops betw cities etc. The latest in English is VII for the PS2.
You might want to try the bit old but playable Transport Tycoon Deluxe. Believe there's an old thread on this somewhere...
Ah thanks, I didn't know that about those general games. I will check them out. Thanks for the transport tycoon suggestions too but that's not what I was looking for.
It is a new game that covers Operation Barbarrosa from start to finish. Mammoth in scale and logistics are very important. You must not only make sure your units are supplied with ammo but you must manage production to get equipment out to the field for your units.
