Hello all,

Believe it or not, I'm new to the Civilization franchise, being newly converted by the Chronicles package. I can't believe, I missed these games, but I'm glad I finally found them. Best games I've ever played, and I'm completely addicted! :p

Anyway, I feel like someone who missed the party, and I'm trying like mad to catch up. The Chronicles package is fantastic, except for the lack of manuals! Sorry but the PDF versions just don't cut it.

I've started collecting the original manuals, and so far I have the Civ II manual, the Fantastic Worlds expansion manual, the Test of Time manual, and all the manuals for Civ III & IV (original manuals + expansions).

So I'm still missing the Civ II: Conflicts in Civilization expansion manual, and the manual for the original Civ. (At least I think that's all I'm missing...)

I'd rather not pay $30 + s/h each for these, when all I'm really after is the manuals. So does anyone have manuals for Civ I and/or Civ II: Conflicts in Civilization that they would be willing to part with? If so please contact me and we'll see if we can work something out. Thanks!

You may find you never need them... I've been addicted to Civ III for several years, its still almost the only game I play and I'm nowhere near ready to move on to Civ IV (or back to Civ II, though it was what originally got me addicted, ditto the best games part). I'm sure most of us here on this forum would tell you Civ 3 is the best way to go, over on the Civ IV forum you'd get a different story ;) (but Civ 3 is still the best in the series :D). All that to say, if you're like me you won't be able to learn and play everything in the Chronicles and still have a life... (but its not like its that hard, after a while you'll find yourself liking one more than the others and start sticking with it)

As for manuals: like I've told people for the last seven years, CFC is better than the manual in nearly all aspects. It is more accurate (all hardcopy manuals have errors - they go to press before the game is finished), it is more complete, it is interactive. The only thing is, you need an internet connection to get here. ;)
