Lore Questions / How Leaders are connected / Etc

From the best I can tell, the Ljosalfar leaders each do individual jobs (Arendel Phaedra - Queen, Thessa - in charge of magic, Amelanchier - Army general [I assume based on his traits]).

I have always assumed this. Is this correct. If so, it voids all those who want to change it to Seelie Court.

I don't follow - wouldn't having several leaders with separate functions sort of tend to encourage the perception of the Ljosalfar as a "Court"?

maybe (IMO) they were the Seelie and Unseelie court .. during the age of Ice.
not anymore...
1) they are 'best enemy'
2) while in the pédia, the Seelie queen loves her 'sister' queen, the Unseelie Queen hates her guts and is much more aggressive.

i can really imagine that with the age of rebirth, seeing winter dwindle and becoming shorter, foreseeing an even shorter periode of reign for herself, hating the peaceful and dumb decision of her fellow queen, the Unseelie Queen and her followers secessionned from the ljosalfar during a very bloody revolution (or a failed coup atempt). (only bloody events can cause people of a same race to be worst ennemy).

Maybe they were the Seelie and Unseelie court, but now.. century laters, they are only two different peoples, with different technologies and cultural aspects, their racial linkonly apparent through the pedia entries and the elven promotion.

EDIT : correction
Spoiler :
During the Age of Magic the elves were ruled by two seperate courts. The Seelie court (the fairer and more spiritual) ruled during the spring and summer and the Unseelie court (the more arcane and malevolent) ruled during the autumn and winter. When Sucellus died the elven prayers went unanswered. Because the Unseelie court was in power when it happened they decreed that the elven diety was gone and that Esus would be adopted in his place. Normally the Seelie court would wait for spring and then reverse the ruling, but spring never came as the Age of Ice began. The Unseelie court saw this as a symbol of their dominance and began to punish elves that refused to stop worshipping Sucellus. This caused a bloody civil war within the elven nation during a time when their numbers were already hard hit. The Age of Ice eventually stopped the war as bands were seperated by expanses they couldnt cross. Now that the Age of Ice is over they are free to reach out and begin their war anew.

this implyes : that I was mislead by my imagination, (separation of the two court occuring during age of ice and not after and not totally for the reason I thought) but : 1) they are two very different peoples ; 2) there is effectively bad blood between the two faces of the elven nation.
