Lost my CD I want to Play Alpha Centauri, where can I buy it?

I can't find the disk anymore, and hunkering to play AC with the expansion pack. Where can I buy it from online? I looked in stores and nobody carries it anymore.

There's always eBay. I've ended up with both the Sold Out two-CD set, four copies of SMAC, and one of SMAX.

Hi guys, thanks for your help. I just ordered AC online. Never done this before so hope it works. Thanks for your help and providing me a place to get it.

Yes it came in today, installing it now. I am surprised that it gave green check marks on the back of the DVD case saying it's vista and xp compatible.

I got a copy of SMAC/SMAX from them and it works on my Acer laptop just fine.

I bought the "Sold Out" version during my visit to london a couple of days ago.

Does anyone know of a place where I might be able to Direct Download purchase this? I'm interested in the Sold Out version because I dug out my Alpha Centauri disc today when all my boxes were moved from home to university, but when I try to install I simply get a CTD. The Sold Out version is Vista and XP compatible, right? I haven't tried installing my copy on my netbook (which runs XP), as it lacks a CD-drive (if I do try to go that route, I'll have to use an ISO).

I'm actually surprised that Alpha Centauri isn't available in a direct download format, considering that in high school I actually had success simply copy & pasting the entire game from one computer to another in the same network. It can't be terribly difficult to make this available, I wouldn't imagine. Ironically, Direct2Drive offers the strategy guide for $10.00, but does not offer the actual game.

EDIT: Nevermind, according to this, the game is unavailable for direct download.

I run the Sold Out version on Vista, you need to install the XP patch which it gives you the option for in the installation.
