I just lost two cities in crises due to unhappiness but there is not a single message/notification about this! Nothing, cities simply joined other empires that are not even so close to me e.g. they joined closest empire that is 20-25 tiles away.

There's lots of things that affect happiness and in can fluctuate per turn based on decisions you make so it requires a certain amout of micromanaging to keep them all happy. would be nice to have better notifications though and general improvement of the UI. There's been a lot of UI mods released but i've not seen one yet that notifies you when your happiness drops below a certain level.

There should be a notification that once they get unhappy that in 9 turns they could revolt and join another civilization.

If you turn tutorial completely off (not just warnings only), it turns those warnings off as well. At least the next turn blocking ones, their might still be a little notification bubble.

It usually happens when you overexpanding your city (Too many distances away from capitol and other own settlement in between, and ill prepared (Ancient populace aren't easy to please, this is less problematic in the other two third of the entire game). and even close to your capitol!
Especially when the game enters Crisis stage. this is a headache even when you expanded settlement limit and not yet filling up even by two or three!
It is not easy to cope with but it is possible not to lose any in the mid crisis!

They also shouldn't join another that might also be unhappy but become independent
This is my biggest problem with it at the moment, it all feels a bit weird and arbitrary. Much better if they become hostile IPs. Only issue there is that you can't capture hostile IP settlements, only disband them - but perhaps they can tweak this so that settlements captured / received by an IP can be taken.

They need to have code for Hostile/Neutral CS. (such as for when a civ gets eliminated so the suzereins don't just delete)
