Louis Riel - Leader Concept

A companion piece to the Metis concept I made not too long ago. Even if the Metis themselves aren't added (which I really hope they are) he could realistically lead any of the North American indigenous groups, anyone in the French historical path or even Mexico as another North American nation with a similar history to that of the Metis. While we several leaders with diplomatic abilities Riel would exceed at gaining influence in times of peace which he could invest during times of War to make conflict a pain. And importantly it would be nice to have an indigenous leader to represent the modern age (maybe i'll make a concept for Benito Jaurez to join Louis).

I'm no historian bat after reading a biography on Louis Riel I think the Metis would make for great indigenous representation in the Modern Age. In Civ 5 and 6 we got the Inca and Aztecs with the same leaders and the Maya again. The only other difference is that the last two indigenous reps, Iroquois and Shoshone were swapped for the Cree and Mapuche. Almost half of the American reps in game are settler colonies (Canada, U.S, Brazil, Gran Colombia). I think it's time the Americas get more representation.
