Luchuirp Give Hammer to Craftsman?

Hi,

I'm running 0.41 patch j. I cast the world spell rather early with 4 cities, but I can't create a great engineer in my cities. Any ideas why?

The hammers from the World Spell produce a free engineer specialist, not a great engineer. That specialist produces GPPs and can eventually produce a real great engineer. I usually move the hammers to the capital (use a scout to carry it and then sacrifice him) and that gives a more concentrated source of GPPs
