I'm new to modding, really, and I guess I'm not actually modding yet, just learning the map builder part of the SDK.
So I made a map. I'm pretty happy with it. Under "misc" in the map builder is the option for the game to populate the resources randomly, basically and I have that toggled, along with goodies. The problem is it distributes resources very liberally and I get too much stuff. I know that's an odd problem to have, right?
I'm used to having 3 or 4 luxuries within "3 cities' reach" with a number of duplicates for trading, but the way this distributes resources, playtesting my map I have 11 luxuries in 6 cities (12 with the jewelery from the CS I captured but that doesn't count). So I'd like to add a script somehow so it adds resources like a "normal game" with "standard resource" would from the in game advanced setup menu. Is this possible or do I need to place every luxury myself through the map editor until I feel it's balanced?
