Thanks :goodjob:

I don't believe it's my graphic card .. I have a Geforce 2 mx ..
Besides Civ 3 works perfectly fine ..

Also the menu is all black .. The only thing i can actually see is the version and the buttons .. :(

Virus? (stupid xcl)

Nah .. 4 days ago i had Civ3 Conquest trial.. That worked PERFECT .. Then i bought it and installed the 1.22 patch ( Can't remember the name :s ) and it worked and suddenly it gave me all these problems .. It's pissing me off .. :mischief:

You may have downloaded the wrong patch language?

Nope ..

Well i've fixed some of the problem .. The faces are gone .. and the action buttons have reappeard again .. :D

Now i only have to get those damn squares into postion and fix the mixed buttons when in the menu and advisors .. :)

You said you had a trial version. If this is from an online source, they likely have modified the files so that applying the patch will screw it up. It's not a fault of the game, but the game distributor.

Yes, i downloaded the trial then after the trial was finished i went out to buy it in a store :)

Did you completely uninstall the trial version before installing the store bought version?

Yes, and i deleted the map too .. Was the the wrong way?

The store bought version might not of needed patching. What version was it before you patched it?

I think it was 1.00 .. But i'm not sure becouse as soon as i installed it and downloaded the patch and installed that too ..

I'm curious what you did to fix these?

I copied all the files from the "Art" folder and pasted it in the Conquest/art folder.

That fixed atleast some of the stuff.
I also can't see anything at the options screen .. :(

It sounds like a bad installation of C3C. Have you installed any mods that might have overwritten the default files?

No, i didn't even know that there was mods for C3C :mischief:

You should uninstall all the versions of Civ 3 you have (just to be safe) and reinstall them. This fixes a bunch of problems some people have.

Edit: Oh wait! I think you're trying to load a game that started with version 1.00, and you tried to load it with 1.22? That causes problems...

You might want to uninstall C3C again and then delete all the files and folders it might leave left over. Then reinstall it. Check the version and only patch it if it is not v1.22

I have tried, erasing all that was left from Civ3 and other then reinstalling ..
That didn't work out ..
