There are several threads around about what civilizations, both old and new, that you want to see in Civilization V. But these are only the names about what civilizations would be fun to have - this thread is to create a civilization complete with leaders, buildings, and units. In essence, you are no longer saying what civilization you want - you are saying what you want that civilization to be like.

I'll start:

Civilization: Iroquois
Starting Technologies: Agriculture, Hunting
Unique Unit: Tomahawk - Replaces Swordsman - Starts with Shock
Unique Building: Longhouse - Replaces Courthouse - +1 :)

Hiawatha - Organized, Spiritual
 
Civilisation: Gaels
Starting Technologies: Agriculture, Hunting
Unique Unit: Clíomhnachta - Replaces Swordsman - Starts with Cover
Unique Building: Lios - Replaces Walls - Grants Drill 1 to all melee and archery units

Medbh - Aggressive, Spiritual
Niall Naoigiallach - Aggressive, Organised
Conn Cétchathach - Charismatic, Philosophical
Brian Bóruma mac Cennétig - Spiritual, Imperialistic
Cináed mac Ailpín - Expansive, Creative
 
Civilization: Hittites
Starting Techs: The Wheel, Hunting
UU: 3 Man Chariot-Replaces Chariot-Receives defensive bonuses
UB: Trade market-Replaces market-+additional5%wealth per trade route

Suppiluliuma:Industrious,Protective
 
Civilization: Maori
Starting Techs:Fishing, Hunting
UU: Canoe-Replaces Galley- can enter Ocean,1 cargo space
UB: Pa-replaces walls- Free Drill 1 + 2 For Mounted:mischief:

Titokowaru: Aggresive , spiritual
 
I'd just like to have a civilization editor so I can make my own... not unlike what you get in MOO2, frex. Granted, my choices might not have historical feel, but they'd synergize properly in the areas I want it.
 
Civilization: Ireland
Starting: Agriculture and Hunting
Unique Unit: Muire (8 :strength: 1 :move: requires Iron, starts with combat one, and drill one)
Unique Building: Nobles Mannor (replaces Barracks: allows production of Muire, +1 :hammers: gives +2 exp. to all melee and Archery units)

Leaders:
High Queen Maeve- Imperialistic, Philosiphical
Niall of the Nine Hostages- Aggressive- Imperialistic
 
I already put in the Gaels, Medbh, who was never a High-Queen, she was the queen of Connaghta, AND Niall Naoigiallach. The traits, UU, and UB you have entered are very much based on the ahistorical Irish faction in Medieval II. Besides, Arras or Curadha would be better names for an elite noble unit than Muire.

In truth I would much rather have an Ireland Civ, than a Gael civ and in Irish mythology Medbh, or Maeve, was the High Queen. And I tend to like Muire better than Arras or Curada.
 
Zerg civilization
Starting Techs: Biology, Chemistry
Leaders: The Overmind (Aggressive, Philosophical), Infested Kerrigan (Aggressive, Expansive)
UU: Zerg larva, upgrades to all other zerg strains
UB: Hive, replaces city. Generates larva.

Sorry but I'm super excited about SC2.
Feel free to use those ideas for a SC mod modders!

UB: A scale model of Camelot


Lastly, you should be able to build shrubbery improvements.


More seriously, i would love a "create-a-civ option".

err... all the civs that i'm more familiar with, have already been represented in civ iv.

UU: Highlander (Replaces Axeman, 6 :strength: 1:move:, starts with guerilla One)
UB: Fortress (Replaces Castle, same as castle but adds +2 :hammers:)

Sir William Wallace (Rebellious, Chivalrous)


New Traits:

Chivalrous- +2 :) in all cities, +4 :culture:, all units get Morale bonus
Rebellious- +3 :culture:, all units get Combat One and Guerilla One

Does anyone else not think this is way too overpowered? I mean that is already creative and charismatic combined plus morale you don't get without a great general.

Yeah, that is very OP... Charasmatic only gives 1 :) and makes it easier to get promotions... Not to mention, Rebellious is like Creative on steroids, even without the additional promotions...

Now, I'm not saying the civilization is a bad idea, really... it's very unique. It just couldn't be in a normal game. Maybe it could be in a custom scenario were you have to fight against the English empire with the odds stacked against you.
 
Rebellious - No city can build Courthouses.
 
Rebellious- All units have Guerilla I, maintenance is +20% or so, and units get +100% in territory that was yours but is not now. And small chance of vassal agreement out randomly. +1 :culture:

Scientific: +2 :science: in every town, double production on libraries.

UB:Catholic Church (Replaces Christian Temple: Extra Happiness)

UU: Sarecen (Replaces Swordsman: Extra Attack, is not replaced by Maceman.

New Traits:
Crusader: All units start with Crusader Promotion, more apt to found Christianity
Sly Genius: Extra :gold: or Extra :hammers: (Depends on Civ)
Jihadist: All units start with Jihadist Promotion, more apt to found Islam
New Promotions:
Crusader- .5 extra Happiness in cities if State Religion is Present.
Jihadist is the same as Crusader, just different name.
