www.maxthon.com <- formally known as MyIE2. Very slick looking 'upgrade' to IE but it still leaves vanilla IE there so you can easily go back.

Main points of Maxthon:
1. Tab browsing!
2. Pop-up blocking!
3. Nice skin.
4. Mouse gestures <- I don't use them but there they are.
5. It uses I.E. for broswing, just improves on it. Most pages out there work with I.E.
6. Absolutely free!
7. No SSL problems when connecting to https pages - unlike Opera.
8. More in there I am sure but I just started using it.

Cons:
1. The toolbars aren't as flexible as in Opera.
2. No email client (that is a pro in my mind but others might miss it).
3. Doesn't seem to be a download manager like Opera's.

I think I am going to be using Maxthon for a few weeks - not having to change between browsers (because it is IE) is nice....something I had to do with Opera.

One of the main downsides of IE based browsers is the fact that they still have all the holes of IE and in my experience, they're sluggish. To each his own, I guess.

True on the I.E. holes - but I don't notice the speed difference.

I like your sig:
“They are possibly the dumbest people on the planet.” -Michael Moore on Americans
(Well, when you have people paying eight bucks a pop to see your piece of propagandic trash, I'm inclined to agree with you.)
Oh wait, you called us dumb! ;)

Because you can't get to all the sites with Firefox. Hey, I am not trying to convert anyone, just offering an 'upgrade' to I.E.

Oh, BTW, I figured out how to turn on the middle click opens link in background page - actually all new pages open in the background...that is nice IMO. My wife hates that though. No problemo, she can just use I.E.

As a Mac user, I notice the speed difference considerably. IE runs poorly on my computer, and slooooow. Firefox is a vast improvement.

Ah, I.E. on Mac? Yeah, I can believe that would run poorly! :)

Which shows you just how terrible IE would be if it didn't have the advantage of being built in to the OS.

Well, on my WindowsXP computer, Firefox loads up noticably faster than Internet Exploder. And Firefox is much faster at rendering complicated web pages as well.

Finally, I have the goofy Fire-something extension, so now I can say I am using Mozilla Lightningimpala. ;)

 I'm actually yet to run Firesomething. I guess I'm something of a purist when it comes to that.

I got I.E I don't want to risk going to annother browser. It could be full of spyware

Huh? You get a lot more spyware through IE than it's even possible to get with some other program.

 IE is probably the reason why you have spyware! IE has so many Activex and scripting exploits that spyware can easily be downloaded onto your computer.

I can also assure you that firefox isn't full of spyware.

And if you don't believe shadowdude, you can check out & compile the Firefox source code for yourself. IE is full of holes that make it easy for spyware to get in; after I switched my relatives to using Firefox, they went from getting hundreds of spyware programs I had to clean out every month or two, to 3-4 programs in the same time frame.
