Hey everyone. I was trying to make a risk board of South America on an old coffee table of mine. It is about 18"x48". Does anyone have a map I could use, know where I could find a LARGE (large as you know of) map, or how to make a realistic-looking map of SA? If anyone is interested, I could post pictures of it when I'm done.

Well. I'd start off by looking at a map of south america. What era do you want it to be though? Also era and information availiable would affect the number of territories. There'd be some large ones in the rainforest no matter the era.

I tihnk you would have to buy a map of south american and draw on your own borders and names (might want to buy more than one) or draw your own. You could do it on the computer but then you'd have be limeted to making it out of multiple pagess and hoping you got everything lined up right.

I've changed my mind on South America. The geographical features (one massvie continent) make it seem like it would be less strategic and therefore, less fun (for nerds like me).

Any suggestions for a better map?

How about the forty-eight United States?

Or SouthEast Asia / Oceania might be interesting.

www.conquerclub.com have got quite a few different maps and possible ideas for rule variations. I like the idea of ports on the Philippines Map that allow you to move to any other port.

With South America you could use mountain ranges and the amazon as barriers to troop movements.

I've decided to make a city board for Risk. I'm currently thinking of Seattle, Chicago or London.

I think London might have some potential to use the Underground to move troops.
