Mandalorian Wars

Is anyone interested in making a scenario about Mandalorian Wars. Don't know if the subject has been described much else where than in Knights of the Old Republic I and II and of course in starwars.com but I think it would make a great scenario.. I'd do it myself but would like to see it done sooner than I'd have time to do it.. some how weekend offs don't give you enough time..

I would certainly help with the graphics and maybe some other stuff, but I dont have the time to make the whole thing but I be able to give quite alot of help.

Id imagine the main type of units which would be needed which haven't been done already would be the Mandalorian's which are basically Bobba and Jango Fett look-a-likes.

Looks like atleast the units part will be covered.. if anyone else isn't interested in taking the non-graphic parts of the project I can do it but it will take a looong time.. so just post here if your interested..

I guess I could do the tech tree if you post up the unit and buildings list and some other description about where they fit in. What sort of map is it going to be set on either a mostly land map with several large planets or on a moslty space map with lots of small planets?

I'll try to work with those lists as soon as I have time.. might take quite long though.. the map is also little open still.. haven't found one I like enough yet but propably a one with lots of small planets..

If I'm lucky (depends on point of view) I'll have time to work with this now.. I started with the units and man this is harder than I thought.. What do you all think, should this be more of a space or planet based scen?? No idea making a scen no one plays..

I recently read the SW Insider article about Mandalorians...

The Mandalorian Wars, as I understood them, took place mostly on Mandalore. If you use TOT you could also have one of the added maps be "orbital space."

I'd like to get my hands on that articel.. Could help with getting units, techs and stuff to order.. Not very good at getting ToT working the way I want so I think I just stik to FW although I've always wanted to make something with ToT but I think most players use FW or MGE..

Actually, here is some of the history that I know from playing Kotor 1 and 2

Mandalore: The leader (king) of the mandalorians

Malachor V: One of the most gruesome battles in mandalorian history, not many people even speak of it.

Dxun: One of the large battles in the mandalorian wars, the republic was cut down by the mandalorians

Onderon: One of the planets heavily attacked by the mandalorians using Basilisk war ships.

Mandalorians look like human men, but they have a wierd armor.

Serroco: One of the planets destroyed by the republic in order to remove the mandalorian base from it.

Thank you simardbrad.. Didn't mandalorians have Basilisk Wardroids not warships.. I have faint memory of Canderous Ordo saying in KOTOR 1 "when my basilisk wardroid..."

Oh man, you guys are making a Mandalorian Wars scenario? Now I have to go out and find a copy of Civ 2!

Oh and Cleveland is right about the War Droids. They seem to be like fighters or something, except they're Mandalorian style, so that kicks @$$. Although the Mandalorians have to have had some kind of warship. Otherwise why did Bao Dur turn Malachor V into a huge gravity well? If there were no Mandalorian war ships, then the scrapyard in orbit has to be mostly republic ships.

Yup. And I quess that it would've been quite difficult to get the basilisks to the orbit without warships or transports.. But what were their ships like?? I think that they had to be larger than Slave I for example..

Malak

Mandalorians:
Neo-Crusaders (Infantry)
Basilisk War Droids
Mandalorian Capital Ship (No idea what kind)
Mandalorian Starfighter (No idea what kind)
Mandalore the Ultimate

What else? This ain't enough me thinks. What kind of starfighters did the Republic use at the time? Should the Jedi Civil War be included in the scenario. Where can I get good and accurate map of the galaxy? Lots of questons and I hope some answers from you guys.

Gives me "page can not be found". But guess my guestion came out badly. I really suck when making accurate maps to civ II so I'd like to find one ready. Anyone knows where to find one or could some one create one?
