Hi everyone, there are some points on which I can't find any answers:

  • During peace treaty negotiations, I was never able to ask for anything in exchange for peace other than a city? Resources or other items can't be added, is that normal?
  • I don't understand the mechanics of specialists; I can't assign them for a long time and suddenly I can without understanding what unlocks it?
  • When you have surplus resources that are not assigned, are they useless? You don't exchange this. Additionally, can the empire's resources be cumulative in bonuses (e.g., gold -20% for unit purchases, but if you have two, is it -20% + -20%)?
  • We see the overall happiness per turn, we see the gauge before celebration but okay we can calculate it but it's impossible to see how much is left in numbers before celebration?
  • Regarding pillaging, I can only restore HP and ravage the tile, but isn't pillaging supposed to bring gold or culture? Has this changed too?

Yes. That’s the way the game works now.

There are three different unlocks that allow +1 specialists, the +2 specialists, then +3 specialists in Exploration Age. I don’t have the game handy, so I can’t tell you which ones. But just search the Tech tree and you’ll see them.

Yes. There are a number of city improvements that increase the number of resources you can take into cities. Also look for camels. If you assign a camel to a city as one of it’s resources, that increases the number of resource slots you can get.

I believe it’s multiplicative (although maybe someone with more knowledge can come in here). So otherwise you’d be able to drop to zero. So 0.8 * 0.8 = 0.64 which will never reach zero not 1 - 0.2 - 0.2 = 0.6 which drops to zero of you get five of them.

I haven’t quite figured it out, but you can definitely get things other than just HP. I’ve received Science from pillaging science tiles. (Which was unfortunate since I really needed HP at the time.). Maybe it’s rural tiles vs. city tiles? Not sure.
