For some reason i cant seem to find a map i modified when i try to play on it. Its saved in the right spot, just isn't there to select to play. I am running Win 7, but have had no probs with the game so far..runs great just cant seem to access the map to play on. I noticed 2 things are diferent about this file then when i used to have it on Win XP...1) the file saves as a bix.bic file which it never did before, and....2) when i look in the hard drive where i saved the file, there is a icon of a page like all the others except this one has a picture of a lock on it, and i am the administrator to this comp so am unsure why the lock icon is there....win 7 prob has something to do with it. All i was doing was adding some horse resources to an existing map where there was none before and never had a prob with it on XP, always let me play with the modifycation. Does anyone know why this might be happening and is it related to the lock icon, and what can i do to unlock it if that is the prob? ty for any help on this.

Best guess is when you started the editor is was not in admin mode. So it could not write in the
x86 directory.

If so it will be in the User folder. Go to the search and put in *.bix and it will find it.

If that doesn't work, it might work well with a nice reinstall.

In the scenarios folder klick on "Compatibility files". I´m not sure if this is a correct translation of the German word "Kompatibilitätsdateien". To give you a hint what I mean, I attache a screenshot about the location of that register in the German version of Win7 (64Bit).

I think it is on the end in english versions?

I tried downloading the patch to play as the "non playable" civs but I cant figure out how to use it or where to download it to. I have civ 3 complete for mac, if anyone knows how and could help me out I would appreciate it.

I know people that have played as sweden in Napoleonic Europe, and I would like to play as either Egypt, Celts, Goths, or scythians for rise of rome.
There are a lot of unplayable civs for the middle ages that would be sick to play as also
Anyone know how to make the patch work for Mac???

Yes, there was a Napoleonic succession game with Sweden, it is the archive legendary games, since they conquered the world on demigod.

Figured it out..win 7 auto locks everything in share mode and u have to give the file authorization to share...now it saves fine and is playable. TY for your help guys.
