i would like to make maps based on original maps, that i have as image-files on my computer.
i have tried to draw some of the maps in the exsisting map-editor, but its a slow and tiresome process, (especially when trying to make (near to) accurate maps of european countrys, and battlefields) and at times its hard to hit the right proportions, without having to devide the image-file into a grid befor drawing it.
so i would like to see a map-editor that combines the exsisting tools with the possibillity to use image-file/image recognizion as a basic for generating maps.
so to say; you scan a random map from your lexicon, choose terrain-lvl based on color-scales with a colorselection tool (eyedrop-tool), deside size and number of tiles in a scalable mapsize/grid-scaleing tool, and finally - adding ressources, rivers, woods, starting locations etc. as done with the exsisting tool.
(sorry for my poor english, i hope its not too puzzling)
