hey all,
i have a game with 38374 point emperor game.if you accept map finder utility i will play a new game , if not i will send it to the site. do you accept games played with map finder utility???

by the way obout domination limit i have a question too.3924 is a good limit?????thanks:):):)

Are you talking about the Moonsinger/Dianthus map finder? Aeson does have that listed as an acceptable program in the rules thread, so yes, that's legal!

38374 is a really good score for emperor. You should submit it regardless!

i played that game with 3724 domination limit.if map finder makes a limit of 3900 it is very good for me to play and i dont need to submit that game.i think everybody who looks HOF score for first place not third:)

You do have a good point, but look at it this way:
If you don't submit it, you'll continue to try and try again for number one. You might get it eventually, you may not. You may just get fed up with a supposed lack of accomplishment and give up that goal.

OR: You could submit it and be #3. Then, on your next game, you might fall short of #1 again, but you might beat your old score and get #2. Only then would you have a tangible sense of getting something done.

Anyway, that's how I look at it...

I agree with Superslug, submit it regardless. The more scores, regardless of if they are 1st, 3rd or 10th, means more competition, a bigger base of numbers by which to measure each other.

Regarding Domination limit - I wouldnt worry about this either, big ones hep but are not essential. I'm in the milking phase of a Monarch game with a dom limit of about 3500, I will definately be submitting it. Having said that, this is probably the last time I will play a HoF game with a map not obtained through Moonsingers tool.

I know the feeling...:goodjob:

i really dont want to submitt that.the best thing for me ; play the game from year 1000 AD,and compair the game with the old one and get 500 more points.

i started the game year 970AD.now i reach Year 1335 and i hane 601 more point and 2 more points per turn.my turn point is now 145 and it stayed more than 10 turns the same; i dont understand why is that.if everything goes right my score will be 39000

I hope you're not planning to submit your game to the HoF, 'cause what your doing now is illegal. You're reloading from an earlier save to play the game better....
If you're doing this to learn from your own game (and the mistakes you made), fine. But you can't submit this to the HoF.

no but i want to learn why is that.everything the same.map area , rivals, everything.why is that illegal.and if anyone do this you i think you really not understand it.because player will say that my game always crashes and nothing to do.
and player who knows computer finds many kind of illegal things.:)

Here are the rules. There is no explaination for them, they are by definiton for this board.

Because you're REloading! You're playing with foreknowledge of the map and that's illegal. The HoF relies on a kind of honour code, where we rely on people to play fair, without cheating.
And don't take this the wrong way, but to me it looks a bit like you're trying to find where the edges of fair play are. I make NO assumption about what you're going to do with that knowledge, but why can't you just accept the rules and rely on Aeson's methods to detect cheating, like the rest of us?

i accept the rules but i think it is impossible to catch it.how can i trust that the good player are honest for that rule.if no detection for that just cancel that rule.it is a good idea if it is like that.

That's why it's called an HONOR system.

I'm sorry to see you find the current rules unacceptable...
