Venus is the 2nd planet of the solarsystem: Venus-Wiki


Venus is a relatively warm and wet planet. Of the complete surface 37% are landmas, which is shared on 4 continents and many small islands. Around the equator is a great desert-zone. On the northern and southern continents are some larger jungle-areas and the only small cold-zones of the planet.

my map bases uppon the topographical map which is also attached. as i have seen this map, i thought how good it would look, especially since it isn't a pangeatic map like all the others i've done so far
your's looks also good! did you use another map of the venus than i, or did you decide yourself for the "less water version"?

Nice, a continental venus. The major continent looks quite worthless to settle though. Have you defined starting positions or are they random?

I believe i used the same map as you did, if not the map was very very similar. I just set the water line at a different distance from the datum. so my water was much smaller.

well, on the major continent are several rivers, so it isn't complete worthless. but it's hard
i've set the startinpositions by myself.

This map is pretty cool, maybe i'll try my own but as a huge version. Yours would be the basis though as I like the water levels but i may decide on less desert more jungle... idk. Slightly "cooler" maybe. I just dont want a massive desert on a huge map, heh.

i just wanted to do a desert-map, because all the others were more temperate or cold. but since i haven't found a good map of mercury (which was intended to be as the desert-planet) i've just done the venus as a desert one.

I have played 2 games on this map and I love it.

The middle continent has had AI colonies both times who ended up declaring independance from their vassal lords. Don't underestimate that middle continent. Thank you very much for this fun map!
