alright I think we can track down the problem like I said its probably something obvious, I feel really awkward here anyway my point: Where is the list of map scripts?
Thanks for fast replies
LOL nailed it, I didnt understand you meant the scrolling bar under "map"
thanks for the help, sorry to be so stupid
- If the default starting location must be run (may happen if there are too many players on a small map ,or old continent start : the script don't take in count placement of players with a distance less than 6 minus between players) : the coastal/inland start may be respected, the old world start will be respected, and the placement for hub, ring wheel will be respected.
- remove the version in the name of the script. Made first to prevent cache problems and no more cause problems with 3.13. This may prevent to update the script and have an error in your current game if it request an older script version name.
- rework the FFH2 barbarian world option. The barbarian cities are placed like in FoR with the units ,distance and buildings selections. Players can't start anymore on a barbarian city (FFH bug).
- FfH2 : control of unique features placement (%, normal ,far or only island placement). The maelstrom is placed in an inland sea if possible.
- FfH2 : control of Lair placement (standard, %). Towers are placed on choke points. All lairs are distributed on the map to prevent package of them. All lairs that spawn units are placed so they don't pack each others.
- a bug fixed for MP games and the new FfH2 options. The non hosting players couldn't generate the map properly.
I stopped by because it was time for me to update to the newest patch. Sto, thank you for work on Full of Resources, and for sharing it with all of us. I use it a lot and really like it.
One suggestion: please stop using the ^_^^_^^_^^_^ borders. They make the screen very cluttered.
There are many options to look at to decide to use or change. That's the good part about your map script work. Seeing ^_^^_^^_^^_^ everywhere makes reading harder. It would be easier if those spots were just blank. Please consider removing the ^_^^_^^_^^_^ borders in a future patch release. Thank you. ^_^
Hey, wow you are fast. I just opened up my Full of Resources file with notepad and came back to tell you nevermind, I changed it on my own. I just used the edit option and chose to replace all ^_^ with 3 spaces. It works fine and now I can read everything easier.
Thanks again for a great map script.
Hmm, I'm sorry Sto. First looking at my Full of Resources pages I didn't see anything out of alignment. Double checking now it looks like replacing all of the ^_^ with three spaces made some alignment problems on the Resources page. I don't normally change anything there, so I didn't notice the top half got thrown out of alignment. I think the Game options page > Log > File log: Write option box was affected, and the Add the technology > Quantity boxes too, but everything else on the Game options page works. So do the Maps, Ground, and Starting Locations pages.Sorry I didn't notice the things I broke the first time. For me this is okay and much easier on my eyes, but not a good idea for someone who wants to change those settings.
I'm glad for the new patch. With Full of Resources maps I can use the Flavor Starts with FF and FfH2 and still have tribal villages (goody huts). With my old patch I couldn't, so just left flavor starts off or didn't get huts. Maybe that's my fault for being three patches behind.Thumbs up for now being able to have both.
Is there a good way to set it up so that I'm on an island and everyone else is on a Pangea? Or a map with that being a good possibility?
Why does it take so much longer to generate a map using this script than the basic scripts that come with the game? Just more processing?
