I recently played a game that turned into an OCC 20K -- Babylon, monarch, small map, 5 AI, 80% continents wet/warm/3bil. I only kept playing because I *thought* I had a decent start: coastal, popped warrior code from a goody hut in the basic-8, two wheat, three hills, a river, and 3 BGs and the rest regular grassland in the fat cross. The only "worthless" tiles were two sea tiles. I also was bordered by Thebes, Moscow, and Delhi -- yes, four capitals all sharing borders -- and Monty was on the island a little further down. It made for great tech progression without anyone reaping too many goody huts or getting too big until mapmaking let Egypt go overseas and find Lincoln. Monty also went nuts, wiped out Russia, and took all of Egypt and India's mainland holdings... leaving me, the big green blob, and Lincoln as the Power-3 by the end of the middle ages.

Well... I remained solvent until Monty didn't give me squat for electricity, and I sold Lincoln Sci Method. for a boatload that he turned around and built ToE with in about 4 turns (Washington was making 139 spt thanks to an ironworks I didn't see he had... I had started ToE but still had about 8 turns to completion when I sold SciMeth). Turns out my neighboring city, Moscow, had an ironworks too (albiet owned by Monty) as well as a cow and game and several hills with less coast/sea, so my question is:

Is there a way to get the seed so I can start myself in Moscow's spot and see if I can't win before 1973 AD? I think I goofed and didn't save the 4000BC start

You go to the world map tab, right click the map and choose properties. The seed should be there.
