is it possible to play in multiplayer mode with mods and use someone elses map ?

i am currently playing fusion mod 2 in multiplayer but would like to play on earth maps i have seen on the forums

is this possible and if so how can i do it ..

It depends on the mod. Some are incompatable with MP games while others may be compatable but are writen to only allow specific maps.

Mine is MP Compatable and is compatable with any random and custom map as long as that map doesn't require a senario (as a senerio is uaully a mod as well)

thank you for the reply and thanks for welcoming me.. ive only just started playing civ IV and it seems to be getting me in trouble with the missus lol , never seem to go to bed at a reasonable hr now

game is outstanding and even better with the great mods that ppl are making
