Mass productions of settlers?

I think that build a settler on every city (don't apply in the capital, the surrounding cities and the cities with limit of one people) that I can. Only tell me if that is a good idea.

What?? If you mean that you produce a settler in every city, then I don't really think that's a good idea, but that's just me. Having one settler factory pumping out 4-turn settlers and staying around size 4-6 is much better than having a lot of cities pumping out a settler every 15 turns and staying at size 1.

True, but if you can't get a 4-turn factory you should have all cities building settlers occasionally. don't neglect troops, though, or you'll probably get swarmed under.

I have to agree with T-Money. IF you can get a city to pump out settlers 4-6 turns and staying at size 4-6 it is a good thing. By staying at size 4-6 you are still earning sci and tax compared to a city that is building a settler and staying at size 1. Just look at what a size 1 city earns in the way of sci/tax to a city size 4-6.

If you a can 2 cities to build a settler every 4-6 turns then you will expand very rapidly.

Depends what level u are playing. On chieftain you can set up 3-4 settler factories and go to town, neglecting defense. Try this on Sid, and that stack of 15 AI Archers may soon show up at at you undefended cities.

How do you build any other cities?

How do you manage to produce enough shields for a settler or a granary in your second ring cities early in the game?

in the begining i just build as many settlers as i can and only build granary in the first 2 or 3 cities, and only if they have no cattle/wheat, cause if they do have a few of those,they can build a settler slower than the pop grows!

and thats even better, as you dont have to wait a long time without the settlers

i even time the settlers to be built at the same time the city reaches 3 pop!

i build very little troops and mostly warriors at that,sure i have to pay some money every once in a while so the other will let me live, but its worth it, i usualy have just as much land or more than the other civs (on emperor)

Hey, I don't make so many settlers, generally in 80% of my cities.
