One game last year, I had three civs gang up on me in what became a late Renaissance-Early Industrial 300-year punch-out. There were easily 50+ naval units and maybe 100+ land forces for each civ...and that was as monarchies and republics! Eventually we were all in fundy for self-defense purposes...they bribed a bunch of my cities and I sued for peace. Then I switched to Demo and quickly researched right to future techs..... and nuked them repeatedly after I launched just cause I could.
I actually lost a game to the Zulu once. They just swallowed up everything and came from both sides of the globe at me with 300+ ships, planes and troops. It was AI revenge I guess. Since then I go out of my way to crush the Zulus whenever I play.
