Radioactivity is probably classed in the same way as forests, perhaps. You can see forests on tiles even when the tile is not in sight. Worked improvements are not updated when they are out of sight.
tmo, it is ok to show that a tile is radioactive via some graphical effect (but when the tiles are in sight, not in the FOW !)
@EndoConvert: the effect is like a twinkeling orange cloud in the FOW
@trex: according to the rules a radiactive tile may be "repared" (like all pillaged tiles)
the only difference with a "normal" pillaged tile seems to be a -3 penalty for Food/Prod/Gold
and of course, this very nice graphical effect
