Media personality on the payroll, unhappy that Bernie isn't tied to sexism scandals

News-media personality Joy Reid uses Bernie's wife to insinuate that Bernie has weird attitudes towards women and doesn't want them on stage with him. And is promptly told off by Bernie's wife herself

This is pretty dumb; surely the dem party could profit from not keeping ties to such blatant booffoons. Apparently her issue is that while various republican and democrat politicians are dancing the sexism scandal macabre dance, Bernie is left out, so she thought she could take it upon herself, using her journalistic integrity, to note how unfair this is. And did so by using - one has to be braindead to be so oblivious of the move's inherent weaknesses - Bernie's own wife as her example of Bernie placing women on the shadows:

Bernie Sanders's wife is firing back at MSNBC host, Joy Reid, after Reid went after her husband during a report on sexual misconduct.

Things got a little heated between Jane Sanders and Reid on Twitter after the host tweeted: “Um...I get that he has a hardcore following, but his own attitudes toward women, from his weird early writings to his physical dismissal of women in his presence (including his own wife) make that an incredibly dubious prospect.”

Reid was responding to a Twitter user that said Senator Sanders was a role model when it comes to men in power behaving the right way.

Response by Jane Sanders was:

I didn't answer your biased reporting about Bernie during the last 2 years @JoyAnnReid. But don't ever use me to demean my husband. I am very happy & very proud to be Bernie's wife. Your perception couldn't be more wrong. Have you ever talked with him? You've never spoken w/me.

Pretty dickish move, especially when you actually read through the whole twitter thread. She claims there are no (male) authority figures left become some men have abused their power for sex, and then dismisses Sanders who has done more in the fight against social inequality than she, her children, and the children of her children will ever achieve, on some vague accusations that basically amount to nothing.

It is bizarre, imo. To have one very popular politician, on your side, and nominally tied to your party (it took some trying...i am sure they blame him for the nominal estrangement in the end) and still want to attack him so that you can be a dumb proponent of failed bids and the self-defeating status quo in the democrat party. I mean this already caused them an election recently, yet they don't seem to be moving a muscle from their position.

I am sure they will try to throw more mud at Bernie in the future, moreso if he actually does make a bid for the presidency again.
