Could someone please help me list the mercenary units that were around during medieval times in Europe, I would like to add them for a mod.
So far I have:

Genoese Crossbowman
Norman Knight
Welsh Bowman (not sure if they were mercenary or not though?)

Any others would be greatly appreciated.

First, you need to be asking this in the Creation and Customization forum.

Second, are you looking for actual names of mercenary units, such as Roger de Flor's Grand or Catalan Company, John Hawkwood's White Company, and Giovanni de Medici's Black Bands (although those would be sort of late, as they were mainly musketeers), or just the various types of units?

The Welsh and Normans IIRC weren't commonly mercenaries, at least not in the sense that they were preferred over another group simply due to their heritage. Some examples would be the:
Varangian Guard (Scandinavian Mercenary Guards for the Byzantine Emperors)
Flemish
Italian Condottieres
The Swiss and the Landsknechts (15th and 16th centuries, with the Ls replacing the Swiss)
The White Company (English and German soldiers fighting in Italy)
The Catalan Company (Franks, Almogovars; served Byzantium)
The Alans (Nomadic Peoples)
Germans (Great Company, in Italy)

Really, if you're going for generic Mercenary units, just use Knight Free Company or Bowman Free Company. Mercenaries came from pretty much anywhere and everywhere.

Geonese crossbowmen were used by just about everyone, except the English (after the reign of Edward the First), but there is no crossbowman unit in the standard game.

During the Medieval Period, just about every conceivable military type served as mercenaries, including mercenary artillery units. You also had mercenary galley units, in what is now Italy primarily, but throughout the Mediterranean.

Thanks for the replies.

Yes I am mainly after units (the names threy were commonly knwon by) which were commonly used by Medieval armies.
Did the Scottish have any influence as mercenary units, highlanders and such?
I know the English also used French bowman as mercenaries against the French.
