I wonder if you give an award for the most boring thread if it would get a massive swarm of views that day :)
 
Yes, we could use some ratios... Like nuber of answers/numbers of view, numbers of :lol: in a thread, numbers of members in a thread... So the awards would be less subjective ;)
 
I wonder if a lot of people would go around viewing threads (screwing up the ratio) to see if the thread is boring :)
 
Well the point is, is there is a huge number of views but no answers, the thread must be boring. :)
Or if there is many answers in a thread, but only one member took part in it, either the thread is REALLY boring, or we're dealing with a monomaniac :)


And we could also ad the "best signature award", come to think of it.
 
Now that would an interesting category. Even possible subsections.

"Most witty signiture"
"Most insightful signiture"

I personally think it would interesting to have television shows of people playing. There's been often times where I've watched friends play (not necessarily Civ3) and people have watched me play. Even if they didn't personally like to play, people can get interested just watching sometimes. Civ3 could be a mini-series, lol.

How satisfied are you with the changes suggested and the new patch... and forget the distractions of young minds who are in the search of truth... (or their version of it)
 
I think it's fair to say that they made many improvements. However, there were things they left out that many people wanted.

It's okay to have railroad movements be free as a default, but not even allowing us to change their movement bonus is a real shame.

Hopefully, by the time PTW comes out, I can find out what Technologies other civs have without having to talk to all of them. The Intelligence screen in Civ2 was better.

I don't know if we're ready for 24 hour Civ Cams.......:eek:
 
people watch sports where it's mostly guys (and gals) running around hitting a ball or putting it in a hole. I love sports, more than games. But at least with games, you can have a story line, get interested in the history of players and their accomplishments, etc...

Well, hopefully in a couple of decades...
 
With multiplayer, you could have one website with multiple webcams so the viewer could see multiple civs and what they were doing. Be kind of interesting actually. Can't say I'd pay for it, but I'd put up with some ads to watch some of these guys play against each other.
 
I think Civ 3 needs a better replay feature. :( I think Starcraft is 10x better now that replays have been introduced because you can download and watch pro games and learn their strategies. Civ 3 has a pitiful replay feature that doesn't even show war or massive troop movements. If there will be multiplayer, there should be better replays!

I know this is a longshot, but I'm getting desperate.

Womoks is a CG comics producer in Paris somewhere. Have you heard anything about someone like dying in the last 3 months? Cause he said he was gonna post all those cool units and we ain't seen a peep out of him since.

I don't know that Zouave would agree to the civ cam.....

I would love to have a huge tournament with 8 games of 31 people. I am conservative, but I would still estimate my chances of winning it at 92%. If everyone attacked me at once, I would say I have a 76% chance of winning.

We do need a challenge forum when multiplayer comes out. That would be very cool.

Seriously though, thats a bad Idea, And I doubt Thunderfall would allow it. think of all the people that 'protested' about the number of post being Visible. Anyway I doubt it matters, as most people will stick with there same names anyway. I have a strange feeling we'll all fall to people with the names, Aeson and Bamspeedy.
 
Yeah I know some people will take offense...
but it sure would be entertaining...

I love hearing how two people, can't stand each other... think they are better than the next guy... duke it out in a one on one game... and all of us get to see the results... hell I am ready to put money on it (think Thunderfall you can take a percentage) :D

I just know there is a Don King role in this idea somewhere [pimp]
