Met any celebrities?

What if they don't like Physics? ;)

Billy Corgan, three weeks ago, for 1.5 hour in Montmartre in Paris, with some friends of mine and other passing-by people. :king: He played a couple of songs and we talked to him a lot. Best day since very long...

Also attended a small intern conference by Hubert Reeves, a well-known French astrophysicist, when I studied that last year. :)

Many French or foreign singers when I was singing in a choir as a kid, long ago...

Maybe others as well, can't remember now.

The Backstreet Boys were playing in town one night, it was a Saturday. One of the members of the group had a reservation for two. He showed up with 8 people and wanted his whole group to get seated together. He said to the manager "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?". The response was along the lines of "Yeah. So what?" It ended with a shouting match and the Backstreet Boy in question being kicked out.
The Twin Cities are too music-saavy to have a backstreet boy try to gain respect. The Jayhawks get more respect around here. I'd like to shake that guy's hand!

I met one in the Mall of America, my family and myself met the WWE Wrestler X-Pac.
I used to go there a lot when it first opened, and until the surge of better theatres than MoA offers, used to catch many movies there - never saw anyone, not even at Planet Hollywood.

Speaking of wrestling though, I saw (then) WWF star Mr Perfect (Curt Henning) at a University of Minnesota hockey game about 2-3 weeks before he died. Didn't talk to him though... I guess I could name several guys off that team too, since many are (or would be, damn lockout) NHL stars right now.

I have seen former vice presidential canidate John Edwards at a rally, and for some reason Vigo Mortenson (Aragon) from LOTR was there too.

Have seen Bill Clinton, Hilary Clinton, and Al Gore, but didn't talk to them, but my mom and dad talked to Gore and Hilary.

I have seen Carrot Top at the mall, and I told him I dial down the center.

I have seen Dave Chapelle do stand up.

I talked to Wendy's founder Dave Thomas on the phone. (He lived in my town, and my grandfather owns a cleaning company, and when his secretary was out sick, I was answering the phones)

I talked to the king of B movies, Bruce Campbell (army of Darknes, evil dead)

When my dad was in the army in Germany, he actually knew Albert Speer. They were not friends or anything, but his house was not that far from the base in Heidleberg, and my dad got a couple of books autographed.

I would say I have seen/talked too some really sweet people.

A friend of mine who used to work in a busy restaurant in downtown Minneapolis told me a funny story. The Backstreet Boys were playing in town one night, it was a Saturday. One of the members of the group had a reservation for two. He showed up with 8 people and wanted his whole group to get seated together. It would have required kicking out customers who were already eating and also had reservations, all the tables were booked. The hostess said it was impossible so he asked for the manager. He said to the manager "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?". The response was along the lines of "Yeah. So what?" It ended with a shouting match and the Backstreet Boy in question being kicked out. It is as it should be.
What restaurant was this?

Recently, when crossing the street in Stockholm, I was almost run over by Benny Andersson of ABBA fame in his whopping big SUV.

I've met Ian Miller, one of the best show jumpers (horse back riding) in the world. Met a couple of local radio personalities. I also met Don Cherry once. Also, Mark Fawcette, 3rd best snowboarder in the world

i also met Rob Moore. He is my local MP, but is known across Canada for being against same sex marrage, and being supportive for some very crude, and old ideas. I personally think he is a Nazi. I also met The Game once, a former member of G-unit

Only met one celeb, Weird Al Yankovic. I got his autograph of course. Very nice guy.

I saw but didn't speak to Mitch McConnell on a tour of the U.S. Senate. He's a lot shorter in person.

I meet Tana Umanga, captain of the All Blacks. I meet the voice of Goku (off Dragon Ball Z. And Anna Paquin i use to play with her when i was little

The Lounge.
Ah, I've never been there -- I don't think of myself as much of a nightclub person.

Too bad about the Nye's shooting though. Haven't been there in a while, but it's still a neat place.

My girlfriend's father is a well known local politician - so occasionally I get to have dinner at his house or have a beer with him in the local pub.

Closest I ever came to meeting a "celebrity".

Ive met the co-founder of google who is actually my dads friends cousin. The guy was hecka nice and he was fun to be with. Truth be told, this wasnt some corporate meeting but rather him coming over to my friends(son of my dads friend)birthday party
