What should our military do next? I think it's fairly obvious that we should take Cumae (I'm thinking about razing it though). But then, should we continue fighting the Romans or should we attack German Berlin?
We could attack Antium, and later on Rome and Ravenna, and we'd be in complete control of the Roman territory. (They might have some small cities left, but those wouldn't be that hard to destroy). The downside of this plan is that Cumae and Munich would have terrible cultural pressure on them from Berlin, and the Germans would have time to improve their defences. Positive about this plan is that we'll capture the Buddhist shrine in Rome, and that the plan is relatively save, we'll stay friends with Bismarck and Julius will die. We could also basically stop military production for now, we'd probably only need a few more macemen to execute this plan.
On the other hand, we could attack Berlin. We would attack Cumae first, and then sue for peace with Julius, hopefully in exchange for Feudalism and some cash. After that peace deal, we'd attack Germany, and go straight for Berlin from Munich. We'd also have a new stack being produced in our heartland going for the southern German cities like Essen. The downside of this plan is that it keeps Julius alive, and possibly dangerous longer. It will also mean that we'll have to continue building military to beat the Germans. However, the plan is potentially very strong. Berlin is a great city, with gold, wines, cows, horses and flood plains and best of all, it has the pyramids (and probably an academy too). If this plan is executed well, we are basically the uncontested rulers of our continent. Another advantage is the proximity of the German cities, this would reduce upkeep there.
