Mines galore

Hello,

Does anyone else find it disturbing that around midway through the classical age the whole map is cluttered with mines?
I don't know why, but after thrusting into the Balkans with a veteran Lydian army, and seeing only mine after mine (just as in northern Anatolia) it really cooled off me joy...
