Missing civ in foreign advisor screen

I play the game with 7 other civs, I discovered French (Joan d´Arc ), opened Embassy in Paris, but there´s no French leader in Foreign-advisor-screen and I can´t make Diplomacy with French. After doubleclicking on red circle (image2.jpg), the Iroquois opens. Help, please.
I play Civ III with 1,21f patch.

I had the same problem, it was the patch I was using, try a different patch, or if you don't want to do that you can right click on a unit of the nationality you want to negotiate with or click the little D in the bottom right corner

I found this out, the magical way of pressing shift+d. this brings up a list of all the civs you are in contact with. Enjoy

Still, this flaw must not be too complicated to fix. The listed portraits in the foreign advisor screen should take its source in the same file than the ones appearing in the windows called with Shift-D ?

Reading past posts, Gramphos mentionned that you can SHIFT - Right click on any face and decide which civ's face you want to see there!
