Missing Great Leaders

Why are there so many brilliant military leaders historicially that are left out of the names of the country leaders/military leaders? Where's Erwin "Desert Fox" Rommel, Heinz Gueridan (for goodness sake, Hitler isn't even in the game)? Where's Friedrick the Great? Leonitus? Pericles? DO I need a list here?

Well I cannot speak for Sid, but some may feel Hitler is not a good idea. As to the remaining, I guess the crew is not much of a history buff. You are free to mod those things, it has been done by others.

Haven't you noticed that everyone is touchy (including game developers) about some historical names? Historical accuracy has been sacrificed on the altar of gameplay and that's OK with me.

I play CIV to create history, not to review it. However, the pedia is maybe the most interesting historical document I've ever read...
