Whenever I try to load the mod Civ is crashing. I get the basic Vista crash report that "This program has stopped working". I can load Civ 4 OK, and can load other mods. I do have it in the Program Files directory. I didn't know how to uninstall 1.90 version of A New Dawn, so I deleted the entire RoM directory, and copied the base version of RoM back into the correct mod directory. I then installed A New Dawn 1.91. I am currently deleted the entire RoM mod directory, and re downloading RoM. Could it be anything else, or just a clean install will fix this?

I have had this problem. Defragmenting my hard drive fixed it. So did deleting the cache.
I have had the same problem ever since switching to a computer with Windows 7.
It does seem to be specific to AND, so this thread should probably be moved to that forum.
I have tried everything I can think of (including clearing the cache) but nothing really works.
Setting the program to run in XP compatibility mode does allow the program to start, but then I get immediate MAFs (presumably because XP compatibility mode doesn't allow more than 2GB of RAM).
