I downloaded Thomas' War and unzipped it in C:...Program files/Civs 4/BTS/Mods. But BTS doesn't even recognize that its there. Can anyone help?:(

I'm going to ask the obvious question, please don't be insulted, k? :)

Have you used explorer to verify that the mod is actually in the \mods directory? If it isn't there, BTS won't see it.

I'm also assuming that you are trying to load the mod from the in-game "Load Mod" screen, right? Do the other mods show up? The ones that come with BTS?

For the record, I am not insulted. I used my computer's browser (note: I have a Vista home premium 32-Bit) to verify that it was in C:... Program files/ Sid Meier's Civilizations 4/Beyond the Sword/Mods. The one thing I noticed was that after I unzipped the 7Z file the folder (not the duplicate) would only show up if I hit the Compatability files in the browser's toolbar. I don't know the significance but thanks for asking.:p

civ4 recognizes a mod called
TEST
only if there is a folder called
\Mods\TEST\
which contains all the files for that mod (and usually some subfolders) - from your reply I guess there is a folder called
\Mods\Thomas Mod
so that is not the answer...

If I understand you correctly you start bts, click on load a mod and in that list its not listed, correct?

That would be correct:(. from my vista computer browser I cannot simply see the folder I have to click a button called "Compatability files" before I see the file folder. If I move the original 7Z file to the recycling bin then the extracted "Unzipped" information goes to the recycling bin with it. Do you know why that is?

I would suggest using a different un-archiving program. Maybe IZArc?

What is IZArc, where can I find it, and is it free?
Just google IZArc, and yes, it is free, although the author appreciates donations. :)
