Mod Only Reads Files the First Time

I started a small mod to test creating flags which worked fine, but when I started adding other XML files to the mod they had no effect when loaded. Everything was placed correctly and the files themselves worked (I moved them to the default assets folder to be sure) When loading the mod CIV 4 just skipped over the files and read from the assets folder instead. I tried deleting the files from the regular assets folder to force it to load the mod files but it just refused to load. I created an entirely new directory, changed the name in the config file and copied the complete mod to the new directory and when it loaded, Civ 4 loaded all the files correctly.

So perhaps the first time you load a mod civ 4 stores which files to load and only loads those every time afterwards?

Any insight anyone has would be most helpful.

I have noticed this to. Civ 4 Hides a cache somewhere, I haven't looked for it et but it has caused me great pains the last few hours. I think it's hidden in your documents folder. If only there was a way to delete it after the game exits.

I have had problems caused by the Cached files but cannot find them!

I did an WinXP search on files changed/added in the last 24 hours to try to find them but no luck!

Anyone else have any clues about this?

Thanks a million!!!! I had been searching for cached XML files which is why the search function did not find anything.
