Hey, I just got Civ III Complete and I was wonding if anyone could send me the graphics for techs on Balancer

Or even better, if someone could send me the files for Rhyse of Civ

As for Balancer, the only thing i could find available was a balancer reloaded download, which has a lot more/different art than balancer requires , and does not include the .biq file....oh well i may just give up on that one


Rhyse of Civ has a site, but the only thing you can download there is the big .exe file for the mod and the expansion

If someone could just take all of the Ryse files on their mac and .rar them, and I (and others I guess) could just download it to drag and drop the files into the right place, that would be great

Did you read the whole thread?

There's stuff late in the thread from Brad Oliver, the software developer at Aspyr who ported Civ3 Complete. He says he tested the Rev A version with Rhye's, and several regular posters here seem to have got it working.

Having skimmed through some of the Balancer thread, it looks to me as if Balancer Reloaded is more appropriate than trying to find graphics to work with the old Balancer mod. The previous versions seem to have been pre-Conquests, and buggy. Balancer Reloaded comes with a .biq file and close to a GByte of graphics.

The bad news is that I haven't found out how to get it to play with the Mac version of Civ3. First problem is that it crashes because it can't find "Medieval Japanese Settler.INI". That file exists, but is buried in another Conquests scenario, and Civ3 Complete seems to have trouble tracking it down. So I guess some skullduggery is required to get copies of the files it needs into places where it can find them.

Try sending a Private Mail to Rhye. If you start at the home page of his site you'll find a downloads page which says "Attention! Smaller zips have been removed from the ftp and are only available on request". So it sounds like you need to ... request

A new poster was looking for mods. Sorry if it didn't answer the question, but it was an honest attempt, and it did result in some discussion. Do you have any better response?
