Hoping someone can help!

Don't know if this is right thread but having an error with loading up a modpack Quot Capita 2.0. I have been posting back and forth with the creator of mod Avain but seem to be at a wall.

His mod ctd on loadup during the initxml (uncached). Just wondering if anybody else has this problem. I'm running xp sp3, 2g ddr ram, dual core 3ghrz 2nvidia 7900gs sli 512mb Steam complete version. I can load other mods fine I have ROM, WOL, Overlord2.0, FF2, etc. Something about this mod reacts funny to my system, or settings.

Have tried to uninstall, reinstall, and have performed cclean, defrag, and other tweaks to try and free up as much memory, and to maximize speed on computer. But nothing seems to help.

Does anybody know how to clean up civ4 cache if there is one? Or are there any files to tweak?

Thank you I hope someone can provide some light to this issue.

I split your post from the Fix-It thread since this might take a bit posting to and fro...
I guess this is BtS?
clean the cache by holding down the shift key while starting the game.
also open my games\beyond the sword\civilizationIV.ini
set these items so that they look as shown:
Code:
; Enable the logging system
LoggingEnabled = 1

; Enable synchronization logging
SynchLog = 1

; Overwrite old network and message logs
OverwriteLogs = 1

; Enable rand event logging
RandLog = 1

; Enable message logging
MessageLog = 1
then start and crash the game and post
my games\beyond the sword\logs
as a zip file attachment here :)

Hey Ori,

You are the man!!!!!!!!!!

Changed the civ.ini to settings above and cleared the cache and now everything works!!!

Didn't crash so I played 50 turns just to see if anything came up and it seems to work fine.
Funny i've asked a few other people how to clear cache in civ4 but couldn't get right help.
That's all it took smooth sailing now. Thank you so much that was starting to bother me a bit.

Keep up the great support man need more people like you.
