Any tips on creating "postponing era ending" mod?

Hi,

First, I'm completely new to civ modding (Any civ game), I did some rudimental mods for Endless Space 2 and Stellaris.

I know few scary words like Xml, SQL, javascript, but that just about it.

I have looked at tutorials section of these forums. For simple examples - I think I mostly understand what's being done.

I would like to create a mod which would postpone the era ending event up until you press some custom UI button.

This is for myself, single player only. Abrupt era ending seems forced.

Any Ideas where I should start looking? Right now I'm clueless.

Or I'll just have to wait for someone to create similar mod.
