Mod Request: LOTR Mod!!

Factions could be something like:
Mordor
Isengard
Rhun
Harad
Moria

for evil and good could be like:
Gondor
Rohan
Lothlorien
(Rivendell?)

And also maybe if Rohan was talking to Rhun there would be -15 in their negotiations. Would this be moddable? And maybe Permanent alliances for each I mean it would be weird seeing Gondor attack Rohan right? It would be set in the 3rd age although a sillmarilan mod would be cool also.

Anyway... will anybody tell me if this is moddable and if anybody has time to make a lotr mod that would be great!!

Not to say this is a bad idea, it is a good one, but it will be a loooooong time before a unit base has been built up, right now you can't add custome modles, only skins, the LOTR mod for civ III has taken forever too compleat, and that was with some units already there.

The fact that it's a large team effort makes it take longer too.

yeah I worked on that thing for over a year, and then gave up and started MMOs for a while before coming back to civ in time for civ4. I can't wait for tons of new graphics to be made for this game. I just wish there was a nice editor for this game like there was for civ 3.

since one was made for civ 3 does that mean it's safe to assume one will be coming out for cIV?

if so i can already make a couple of suggestions...

1. The tech tree...just think about researching Ring Forging

2. The Civs I was thinking about were

Misty Mountain Orcs​

Moria Orcs or Dwarves​

Maybe Eagles (to allow the battle of five armies)​

3. Another idea I had was creating a great leader Mod that each race starts off with a great leader that gives a stack bonus for attacking/defending, so you could include Sauron, Saruman, Aragorn, Theoden etc.

No Eagles, Shire, Ents could be merged with Rohan or something. Good ideas though.

I'm not trying to promote LotM over this or anything, but if you wait until it's released you will (a) have a lot of material to work with and (b) maybe get some LotM vets to help out. Graphics will have to start from scratch, but a LOT of the information would carry over to Civ4.
