Mod with a cut the tech tree

This game seems to be getting mods faster than Civ3 ever did and it is difficult to keep track of what is out there.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew of a mod that would simply cut the tech tree at the end of the Age of Sail (~ before cavalry and riflemen) but leave the rest of the gameplay as it is? Also, of course, it would be nice to have new UU's for the civs that have their UU's in the later periods than that. I would not mind any other additional tweaks either (units, victory conditions, wonders)...

(you may have guessed that I consider the modern age the dullest part of the game)

I don't think such a mods exists, but if you simply raise the research cost of nationalism, education, gun powder, the printing press and astronomy to an insanely high number, this should stop technological progress after the time you specified.
 
Ah, thank you Great Apple! Found the mod and downloaded it as well!

Now, I'll only need a way to balance the civs that miss out on their UUs when I cut the game before the industrial age...
