Elda King
Prince
This thread will have a list of all the models we'll need for units/buildings/wonders, so if a modeler gets interested he can simply see what we want. If we already have a model, we'll list it here, but it continues on the list - perhaps we can found a even better model.
UNITS
There will be 4 basic sets of units, one for each race: men, elves, dwarves and orcs (without subdivisions like "Sindar", "Noldor", "Edain", "Easterlings" and such). Beside those basic ones, there will be several UUs, that - in most situations - won't replace any basic units. The racial sets will be equivalent, with each unit having it's pair in the other sets, with different attributes, models/skins but basicaly the same unit (available with the same tech, using the same weapon, etc.)

ELVEN BASIC SET
Elven units are similar to human units in most aspects (size, skin color, etc), but differ in some things:
->Phisically, they are a bit taller, have pointed ears and never have beard.
->Elves use kite shields rather than other shapes of shields.
->Elves can have any hair colour; brown and black hair are the most common, and red hair is very rare. There are also blond and silver-haired elves, between those.
->Elves use all the weapons human use, including axes and maces.
->Details about some elven warriors (not all):
-tall helms with plumes of red
-some lived in forests and thus used green suits to camouflage (mostly archers)
-their shields were wooden, but covered with metal, so that they were light but strong
-their armor (usually mail, except in the earlier units) was shiny; they had long hauberks of mail.
DWARVEN BASIC SET
Dwarven units are quite different from human units (specially in size and proportion) and will mostly require new models rather than reskins.
->Dwarves also use all the weapons humans use, including bows and swords.
->all Dwarves have hair and beards, of any colour.
->Dwarves are smaller than humans, but more "stout".
->Specific details for some units (not all):
-they used heavy chainmail
-they had frightening masks on their helmets, that scared even the mighty dragons
-some dwarves used picks at war
Later I'll finish the list, now have to go out.
