Modern Unit Graphics

Thanks guys. :)
The rest of the FSA, I mixed up their patterns and equipment to reflect their rebel/ irregular status.
Noted, will do, especially that Brazilian duckhunter camo will be easy-peasy. :D

Al qaeda's vanguard in Syria, the "real" FSA. Amply supported directly by the gulf states, they dominated the opposition until the emergence of daesh, which was the evolution of their parent organization, the Al qaeda in Iraq. Having remained loyal to AQ, they have been loosing fighters and ground to daesh -through defection and defeat- ever since the split.

-edit- Desert zombies.

Brilliant! I imagine Nusra will be swallowed by ISIS if they ever meet again. But SAA won't allow that to happen :)

Just on a completely tangential sidenote, I know it's a new design to the point of not all of it's contractees having yet even gotten their shipments (apparently, South Africa hasn't yet, for one), but is there any graphic of the Finnish-made Patria AMV troop carrier (or, the Havoc, as it's USMC variant is called) made yet? I was just curious. It might come in handy in certain modern-era scenarios.

Thanks. Evil turns upon itself, axx.

Don't know,P. Haven't heard much about it. Is it any good? Like a Nokia 3310 on wheels or sth?

Nice Kurds and "mild opposition" forces.
You can make the "Lions of Rojava" unit which is formed by volunteers, slap some mixed U.S. equipment, M4 carbine and a kurd flag and done :D .

Thanks gapetit & Strelok.
Merry Christmas guys!

Two new (commercial) camo schemes, the most common pixelated Spectre-S Skvo & the Russian copy of the PLA Tibet Region fleck pattern, "Tibet".

What a mix. Nazis & Communists, Christian fundamentalists and pagans, local miners, foreign nationalists & international volunteers, all on the same side.

In case somebody asks,
wood furniture & black steel mag= AK47/AKM.
Wood furniture, red bakelite mag & a muzzle device= AK74.
Black plastic furniture & a muzzle device= any modern AK100 series.

It's often been historically the case that groups of disparate ideology and objectives join under one banner to fight a common enemy, and, once (and if) said enemy is defeated, all bets are off in the aftermath. The WW2 Soviet-Western Alliance is a textbook example, but there's multitudes of others.

When Ukraine's armed forces appeared unable (and unwilling) to mobilize against the Russian reclamation of Crimea, these far-right volunteer/ mercenary units took up the fight in the Donbass. A source of embarassement for their supporters is their open use of Nazi symbolism and various criminal activities -but as I found out, it is not any different on the other side either.

What is interesting is their continued use of the 1988 Soviet TTsKO pattern (three variations covered, being replaced by local copies of US multicam) and generally inferior gear to their opponents.

Jovan Sevic #1 in terms of looks ... this guy isn't mentally out of Bosnia yet. If Novislav Dzagic (Remove Kebab guy) was not in prison for genocide charges, he'd be proud :D

As someone who frequently watches how modern war clashes evolve on Youtube I can say that Tan's units are perfect. Motorola, Somali, Azov and the others I know are 100% spot on. Keep up the good work.
Houthis in Yemen next ... I guess?

Gareth, have you done a C-130 Hercules yet?

No I haven't yet - I still owe you a C-47 and Curt some units, so it may be some time before I can do this. If it for a particular scenario?

Oh, and a very belated Happy New Year Scenario League :):goodjob:
