@pat Well, yes. They look unique, that's what drew my interest in the first place.
Another pair of rather rare trainers/ light attack planes. A Greek T2E and a Venezuelan Rockwell T2D Buckeye

I'd heard that some countries (like Gadaffi-era Libya) actually used the L-29 and L-39 as military attack planes, not just trainers. They must have really been strapped for planes...

And, Erika, is there anyways I could talk you into making me an Egyptian Fahd APC, please? *waves virtual cat treat*

Greek airforce F5As in SEA (70s to 00s), Aegean Blue (80s) and Aegean Ghost camo (90s to 00s) in service between 1965 and 2002.

Attempted Fahd-240, BTR-60, Type-73 APC, a pair of TR-77-580 MBTs and an open-topped, flat-sided 4x4 BTR-152 mod.(was supposed to be a Kader Walid APC but i couldn't get the front right so i reverted to the BTR-152 front).

Thank-you so much Erika for Egypt's armoured fire truck... :P (At least it REALLY looks like a fire truck that is tan instead of red).

Tanelorn, while you're on a roll with some little-known models and variants of modern warplanes, could you possibly take on three for me that I don't think yet exist in ToT graphics anywhere in the Civ2 community (at least to my knowledge)? The Brazilian Super Tucano and two Italian-made Cold War-era warplanes (I don't think any Italian-made warplanes from after WW2 exist out there in current ToT graphics) - the SIAI-Marchetti (or Leonardo) SF.260 and the Macchi MB-326. It would be greatly appreciated since you seem in a modern warplane pattern at the moment.

@Patine These are all very good suggestions. I posted the Aermachi at the bottom of this page: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/modern-unit-graphics.409276/page-26 but I've learned a few things since then and I'll improve it a bit. I have a model for the Tucano and I can look for the 260. I have also made a FIAT G91 but I can't find it.
Af firetruck! Cool idea!!
@erika Great work. And close enough Kader is good enough Kader, especially if it helps make a scenario.

What year did the Turkish Air Force switch from the square to the roundel, out of curiosity? The Wikipedia article on the Turkish Air Force doesn't even mention the square or any other former symbols.

tanelorn-turkish-phantoms-png.464660

Turkish Phantoms. Euro1 camo (norm83?) is for ex-luftwaffe aircraft.
@Patine 1972, to avoid confusion with the soviet white outlined red star in jet speeds.
Interestingly, the roundel had apeared biefly in 1918 but they went back to the original WW1 white outlined square, switching from black to red.

A quick paintjob. A couple of South East Asia camo super sabres, USAF and Turkish. Also another metal, square insignia Turk.

Have you joined the Oracles at Delphi, Tanelorn? I was JUST about to request the T84 Thunderjet, along with the early Soviet Il-28 jet bomber, be humbly added to the three I'd requested above (the Tucano and the two Italian planes) for obscure Cold War era warplanes. :P

tanelorn-usaf-f84e-korea-png.464735

@Patine No, but I'll be visiting the oracle this spring anyway. Any questions for Pythia?
This is a Korean war USAF F84E I reworked from an earlier post. They entered the Korean war in 7 December 1950 and the USAF claimed F-84s were responsible for 60% of all ground targets, destroyed in the war -which makes it the most significant fighter-bomber of that conflict.
A pair of 9th FBS thunderjets like this adorned the top cover of my favorite:love: "The Korean War" wargame by Victory Games.
Which I might add was in near mint condition some years ago until my son decided that the paper counters looked tasty and ate a bunch of them. :crazyeye:

You know, I just happen to have a blank slot left on my units.bmp file for my close-to-finished Korean War scenario. What a great suggestion, Tanelorn... :P
