This may not be my buisness but:

I really don't think its a good idea to have Lefty as the only mod. Not that I don't trust in his modding powers, but that leaves an obvious hole when he is sleeping and working. (Do cyborgs sleep?)

Is there going to be a new mod created, or adding an already existing mod to the new forums...?

Also, we will have one (or even two) new moderators for the Colisseum forums, likely someone in a different time zone.

I do not trust Saiyans. They ware always exploding or fighting or standing with all their muscles flexed, grunting, with sweat beading up on thier face.

I trust that the Site Admin is going through this process carfully and meticulously, and I also trust I am not a candidate, thus am not antsy about the decision in any way, shape, or form.

And for the last time, it's "Colosseum", not "Colloseum" nor "Coliseum"!

Site Adminsitration does not authorise or much enjoy spelling police. Lefty

Re-Edit, because apparently there was a mixup due to Moderator action: Typoed "Colosseum", silly me :mischief:.

May I officially take myself out of the running by declaring I want it?

I might not be interested in OT. I certainly meet the timezone requirement. :)

I don't think cgannon made this thread for everyone to tell wether they want to mod or not. ;)

I'm curious as to who the new Colosseum mod(s) are going to be. Of course, almost everyone is ;).

I would very much support a mod from a timezone that covers Leftys offtime. Some certain posters used the knowledge of both mods long absence to open threads that were pure trolling - and many more (me included) fell for them.

Luckily, Lefty has laid down very good rules about such threads now (in the OT closed thread IIRC), but it would be a good idead to avoid thsi situation in the future. If only a assisnat-mod can lock troublesome threads for a while until the 'regular' mods can review them..........

Maybe a few 'assisants' (e.g. mods for other fora) could get these rights? Then, one would NEVER know if there isn't a mod lookign over ones shoulder......

The second guy who is going to moderate the political-discussions forum has all my sympathy

We are making timezone coverage a criterion to be strongly considered, and we are way ahead of you guys in or our discussions. My preference so far has been three additional mods, one overlapping my time zone so I can be a lazy bastard.

 that's great - we could have saved ourselves a LOT of brain energy but NOOOOOO, you didn't tell us!

I have been closely following Lefty's moderation during the time that he has been working virtually solo and doing a great job.
