New Colloseum Mod?

can you say which people you are considdering to be the new mods? Im sure that Matrix is gonna be the european mod though

One of the problems is that all the big posters seem to have found themselves in trouble on occassions. Still, if there's going to be new mods for OT, it'd surely be better to get someone with a good knowledge and proven commitment to the forum. A risky decison would be the introduction of an outsider. I wouldn't care though, but I doubt he/ she would get accepted immediately. Personally, I'd prefer a woman or an older person, someone with characteristics that make them less competitive and mark them out from the majority of posters there.

I think that suggesting actual names just opens up temptation to start a "he / she would be good because of..." and "he / she would be terrible because..." type discussions. Potentially dangerous. Hence, I don't think we should be discussing individuals.

If it is going to be one of the European Colosseum regulars with a 3000+ post-count, then Hitro would probably make a good mod, as he is intelligent, moderate and sensible (and I haven't had a fight with him yet ).

I think you need atleast two more for each. And don't forget the other forums, History, Humor, etc.... It might not be a bad idea to have a specific one-forum-only mod for each one.

I also like the idea of the 'mini-mods' for specific threads such as the continuation threads (Poetry, Games, Babe/Hunk).

But all of this would be a huge change. I wonder if its necessary.

TF said he's considering archiving the entire current OT and setting up two new ones. We won't know, until he makes up his mind I suppose.

If you mean big in terms of PC, well, I've never gotten into 'trouble'. Neither has a few others, IIRC.

Anyways, PC is a bad counter to use in consideration for modship... IMO.

The powers-that-be know what they're doing... I just hope they can succeed quickly in shanghaing whomever poor souls who're going to mod those particular forums. And put an end to all the speculation.

I suspect more likely one of the colosium mod would informally have chief respositility for seeting forum specific standads, shuch ar for specialty threads (exmple: will we have 'what if' threads in History forum)
