Mods for Tall Play?

As the title says, does anyone have any good mods for Tall Play Civilization 6?

I'm trying to play Civ 6 with some friends of mine, and most of us prefer to play tall rather than wide, focusing on only a small amount of cities, and expanding slowly, rather than stretching our cities out as quickly and rapidly as possible... but, one of us prefers to play Wide, and they keep crushing us game after game, and while we've tried to play Wider in response, we've had no such luck so far... hence, I'm here, asking for mods in order to make the game more balanced and enjoyable for us both.

We've already tried out some mods, such as p0kiehl's Buffs to Tall Play, but it doesn't seem to have worked all that well, as the Wide player has been crushing us still. If anything, the buffs to Tall Play simply seemed to buff their cities just as much, if not more, than our own cities. So if anyone has any good mods that can help reward Tall Play, or weaken Wide Play a little, I'll very much appreciate it.

I like p0kiehl's mods also, but did make some tweaks for his production from population mod because the original mod boosts production 3 different ways - 0.5 baseline, additional from high population, and additional from eras - and only 1 of those really helps tall. The baseline and era bonuses will help wide players just as much as tall, so I removed them.
Production From Population Additional Citizen Bonus Only

Some others I like for tall play:
Buildings Need People
Key Loyalties (disclaimer: made by me so I am biased)

Have you tried Golden Age - Brave new world?

Honestly? No. I've looked into it, but it's been too big of a change for my liking. Hitting aspects I actually like in the game, such as the Era system, as well as clashing with other mods I have and enjoy, such as Civilizations Expanded and District Expansions. Thanks for the suggestion however.

Hmmm, not too sure about The Production From Population Tweak. Medieval Era, a city with 5 population used to get 4.75 per city, for a total of 14.25 extra production. Compared to 21 production for 1 city of 15 population. A 7 production difference. Change it to the tweak, and those smaller cities only gain 1 extra production, for a total of 3 extra production. Meanwhile, the city of 15 gains 10.5 extra production... that's still only a 7 production difference. But, I think the smaller numbers will definitely be much more meaningful in the early game, and it'll definitely slow things down a bit too, so I'll give it a go.

Buildings Need People could be nice, but again, clashes with District Expansions, which I really like. Key Loyalties, on the other hand, looks absolutely fantastic. Gives extra incentive to go wide rather than tall with Governers, and even grabbing some of the more unused ones too! Not to mention it also acts as a sneak buff to Voidsinger's Cultists too by making it easier to reduce the loyalty of wide empires down to 0. I'll definitely give it a try, thanks!

Maybe a bit late, but you can take a look at CypRyan's Wide&Tall mod.

Since Wide vs Tall is no real thing in Civ VI, this mod tries to add some tweaks to make Tall play viable and balance it out with Wide play. This mod aims to be minimal invasive! When playing wide you should experience no change in gameplay, at all.

Most significant Changes and Mechanics
  • Boosted City Growth: The more eras progress and the fewer cities you have, the more the city growth is boosted.
  • Yield Bonus for Tall Empires: Large cities in empires with few cities receive yield bonus on Science, Faith, Culture and Great Person Points.
  • Building Tall Extensions: Large cities, once they reach a certain population size, receive Tall Extension Slots. These slots can each be spent on upgrading one of the more advanced buildings in specialty districts.
