Mods won't work upon load of saved game

Using a few mods, they work fine in a new game, none are working upon loading a save game using those mods. I made sure to load the mods again and then go to load game, as in civ5 if I forgot to load the mod first would crash. Now just none of the mods will work upon exiting and loading a save game.
